Girl Mess is a third person shooter game that drops players into the wreckage of a chaotic night out and challenges them to piece together what really happened.

Gameplay begins as you wake up in a trashed room, disoriented and alone, exploring the wreckage. A shattered phone buzzes. When you pick it up, you are transported to a memory battleground. Here, your avatar becomes a metallic version of yourself, drifting through an uncanny digital landscape. You battle flying angels stitched together from social media photos—confronting the ephemera of memory, shame, and the self-image you wish you could erase.

Future iterations of the game will connect with the user’s mobile phone images and incorporate them into the play, blurring the line between personal memory and mediated reality. As players navigate the aftermath of this hyper-feminized world, they confront not only their own unreliable recollections but also the corporate systems that archive and distort our pasts through connected social media accounts.
